West Belfast boy who needs new heart to lead Féile an Phobail carnival parade

West Belfast boy in need of a new heart has been named Grand Marshall of the Féile an Phobail carnival parade. Toddler Dáithí Mac Gabhann was born with the extremely rare and life-threatening congenital heart defect Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He has been on the waiting list for a new heart for over a year, with his parents Máirtín and Seph campaigning hard to get more people to sign the donor register to increase their boy’s chances. LITTLE Dáithí Mac Gabhann has been chosen as carnival Grand Marshal for the annual Féile an Phobail parade.
Taking place on Saturday August 10, Dáithí (2) and his family and their ‘Is Deontóir Mé/Yes I Donate’ campaign are an official partner with the festival and will use this platform to further highlight organ donation. Full Story Here
